Hey, everyone. I only have a few minutes to type this, but I'll be back very soon (I promise!!) to give a better explanation for my painfully long absence. You guys popped into my head the other day, and I can't tell you how ashamed and sorry I am for the way I've disappeared on you so many times. I just wanted to pop on now to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about you. Anyway, like I said, I'll be around again hopefully later today to explain my absence and to start working on some of the things that I've been neglecting around the site.
If you all are still here, I really appreciate it. You guys are awesome.

Thanks, guys. I'm really glad to see there are still a few people around at least. Hopefully when I send out an e-mail to all members we'll get something of a lively response.
As for my absence...well...let's just say I haven't had it all too easy the last couple of months. This semester is just absolutely insane. I've finally decided what I want to do with my life (yay!) but what I want to do is to be a translator for Mandarin Chinese (yikes!). So basically what that means is that I spend every waking moment that I'm not sleeping or eating studying and practicing Chinese, going to Chinese tutoring sessions, applying for Chinese scholarships, taking on extra projects for Chinese class, etc. etc.
It hasn't been helping any that I'm still sick with a case of mono, which means that by the time I get home from school and work and tutoring I am just totally wiped and most of the time I just collapse into bed without even getting all my homework done. It hasn't been easy. But I've decided to kick by butt into gear to start getting everything done, including working with you guys here to make this site awesome. After all, I took on the responsibilities of admin, and even though I've let you guys down lately, I hope to get better in the future.
Whew! That was a lot to explain. To make a long story short, thanks for not leaving, and for being patient with me. How I wish I could spend all my time writing Lord of the Rings fanfiction, but, alas! it is not so. Hahaha. Still, I'm going to try my very best to be around more often, and I'm gonna work on getting the plot moving around here.
Irophen, expect a reply from me no later than this weekend. I'm still REALLY psyched about our thread with Irophen and Zarrin, and I can't wait to get into the city so they can meet the Amir!!
Do you guys know who else is still around? Seems pretty dead.

For a while there people were still logging in frequently, though not posting. Gradually people just stopped logging in. Never a better time to recruit new members, right? Haha.

With the role call and emailing people I hope some of the others will return; more than anything else we need to somehow advertise and affiliate with other RPG sites. The source i've always used to track down perspective RPG's is Proboards help boards. There are, I repeat, NO LOTR RPG's being advertised in the advertising area right now. Tons of twilight... but I digress. If we start advertising there we will certainly be the only provider I know of, and not just there, anywhere. All LOTR RPG's I've tracked down went inactive around 2006. There have got to be people out there interested in this, we just have to find a way to inform them.
I am also excited about that thread Faramir, and eager to really plunge into it.

I think this thread should be AdminS, I haven't been a reliable admin over the recent weeks and months, however I hope that will change - until I'm away for a week in Christmas. If anyone has any ideas what so ever then share them, even if they seem like the impossible - we need everything to kick-start this forum back into life!

Hello guys, long time no see.
Obviously words have already been said relating to absences, mine has been a long one and may well not be able to change as I work now far beyond normal full time hours.
However... I couldn't believe the endurance and determination for this place some of you have when I logged on today. As such, I will be doing what I can to bring this place back from the dead over the remaining days of this month. As to my own activity... I can't promise anything, but I will do what I can. As for others... expect to see some new members and activity very shortly.
And hey... regardless of everything that has happened, we're approaching a one year anniversary.
